Download Torrent Using Hash Info

I have started using µTorrent to download torrents. Using its built in search seems simple enough, but how do I download if I have info_hash of a file, e.g. from isohunt or any other website? I have a 2mbps net connection, will downloading be slow?

Download Torrent From Hash

  1. Use “Add URL” in your torrent client and add url
    magnet:?xt=urn:btih:INFOHASH
(replace INFOHASH with your info hash).

  2. Thank u :)

  3. Once you've found the torrent you want, click on 'download .torrent' in the top left. http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/2861/capturemfa.png A dialog box will popup asking you what to open the .torrent with, choose Utorrent (C:Program FilesUtorrentUtorrent.exe)

  4. You don't need to do anything special with the hash file. Download the files that are associated with the hash file, then use a tool such as MD5 Checker (see below) to scan the file(s) for their MD5 hash. Once you have the hash, compare the hash to the one given in the info_hash file. If they match, the file hasn't been tampered with by a third party and you can continue.

However, if the MD5's aren't equal, either you did it wrong or the files have been modified. MD5 Checker: http://getmd5checker.com/download
